The “Femina Assoluta” project presented contemporary Polish drama from the perspective of the role of Polish women in shaping Polish identity over a century of Poland’s existence after regaining independence. On December 1st and 2nd, 2018, we presented the dramas “Szajba” by Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk, “In the Rays” by Artur Pałyga, and “Femina Assoluta. Dreams” by Maria Klotzer at the Theater na Pokrowce in Moscow. Readings of Polish drama were prepared by the director of the Theater na Pokrowce, Gennadiy Szaposznikow. After the presentations of the dramas, meetings with the authors of the texts took place. As part of the Moscow festival NET on December 9th, 2018, we presented a stage adaptation of the latest novel by Dorota Masłowska, “Other People”. The performance sketch was prepared by Wojciech Urbański. After the presentation of the performance sketch, there was an author’s meeting with Dorota Masłowska. All meetings with the authors were devoted to their work and their perspective on Polishness and Poland.
